Welcome
Welcome to our new blog for Christian Homeschoolers!
It is my hope that this blog will be helpful to you during your quest to homeschool your children with Christian based curriculums.
I am Janet Ford. I'm a homeschooling Mom to one son right now but I have homeschooled all three of our son's. All of them with Christian based curriculum, though different types over the years. Our youngest, Brian, is 15 yrs old and in the 11th grade. We are using Switched on Schoolhouse, Alpha Omega's CD version of their curriculum. I'll get more into that later. Brian's plans are to finish both 11th and 12th grade during this schoolyear. He is wanting to start asap instead of waiting for the 'normal' schoolyear to begin. Our middle son, David, is 17. He is currently in South Africa on a missions trip. He went with Global Expeditions first to Botswana. From there, he spent a couple days in Zimbabwe and now in South Africa. A two month trip in total. He comes home this Saturday! HURRAY!! ... Though he has warned me that he intends on moving to Botswana after recieving training as a full time missionary. Our oldest son, Travis, is 19 and leaving Aug. 17th for the Army. He is planning to get training there as a mechanic but also has an intrest in MP training, perhaps later down the road.
My husband is a wonderful, caring and supportive man who is totally committed to the homeschooling lifestyle.
More on us later. This is just a brief introduction. I hope you will bookmark our blog and visit us often as I plan to update this blog each day, sometimes numerous times a day.
